Jugendkonferenz in Polen vorbereiten

Gerade eben haben wir erfahren, dass ein Projekt in Polen kurzfristig einen Freiwilligen sucht. Der Association of Independent Initiatives Mikuszewo hat ein deutscher Freiwilliger abgesagt und nun muss der Ersatz auch aus unserem Land kommen. Eine tolle Chance für Kurzentschlossene. Start soll Anfang Oktober sein, das Projekt dauert neun Monate.

Hier ist die Platz-Beschreibung der Polen:

Volunteer's tasks:
- multicultural youth conference planning, organizing and hosting;
- contributing creative ideas and experience;
- organizing training and educational seminars for international youth exchange program coordinators;
- technical and logistic support for international youth groups (greetings, briefing on the purpose, rules and regulations of the International Youth Meeting House (IYMH), food preparation, etc.);
- assisting in the production of transcripts, photos, videos, and/or websites documenting International Youth Meeting House projects.

Office support duties at International Youth Meeting House:
- playing an active role as International Meeting House ambassador at a volunteer's native country while expanding international contacts and partnerships;
- helping with recruitment of new groups for the programs offered by IYMH Mikuszewo;
- assistance with basic office duties (mailing, photocopying, phone answering, address base updating, etc.);
- helping to maintain tidiness;
- assisting in the compilation of promotional materials for Int. Meeting House programs, particularly in the volunteer's native language;
- assisting in the organization of Mikuszewo community social and cultural events (Big Band of Christmas Aid, Children's Santa celebration, etc.);

Ecology Education
- cooperatively preparing and facilitating projects dealing with eco-related topics with youth from across Europe;
- organizational assistance at community pro ecological events such as "Earth-Cleaning Day", and the construction of "forest educational trails";
- supervising and improving the waste management and eco-recycling system at IYMH.

Eco Diet
- participating in the promotion of alternative diets such as vegetarian and vegan during international youth conventions. Practical training will be provided in the preparation of ecologically alternative diets;
- organizing, planting and supervising the youth spring time ecological garden to promote and provide vegetables and fruits for IYMH program participants.
